If you’re not going to do the same for WWII vets, then don’t do this. There was only a five year difference between those conflicts. My Father was both a WWII and Korean War vet who also spent 2 & 1/2 years as a German POW and I know, if he were alive today, he would say the same. Monetary reward was not why he served, and while this country is currently facing a historical monetary deficit, this is not the time to expend funds that do not exist. He was a lifetime Republican who strongly believed in fiscal responsibility, something the current party seems to have forgotten.
