This is not an easy question. Airlines are mostly monopolies because they fix prices based on the way “hubs” are allocated so they are not competitive at all. You can only take the carrier that goes to you destination. There was a time when airlines flew from everywhere and we had price wars. It was a good time for consumers. Now It costs less to fly where many airlines compete and a better idea would be to fix prices according to the miles flown not by location. We have to keep airlines from price gauging but this bill is not the way.
