There is no question that what was done to African Americans was brutal and horrific. But, then you have to look at other races that were also brutalized such as the American Indian. Remember how this country stole their land? Then look up The Trail of Tears, Sand Creek and Wounded Knee. Then look at the Chinese population that was mainly responsible for completing the railroad across this country. When it was completed, they were beaten, murdered and forced home because they weren't needed anymore. We can also throw in the Japanese Americans who were placed in camps (euphemistically speaking) just because they were Japanese during WW ll. I would have no problem giving reparations to those who directly suffered from these injustices, but to give reparation to those who came generations later and whose lives are far better due to the sacrifices of there ancestors, definitely not.
