The argument against defunding in itself sounds so political. "Cutting the EPA’s budget is an overtly 'political gesture' that will only reduce its ability to 'create and enforce new regulations' that otherwise would have improved air and water quality." Why are some people so obsessed with 'creating and enforcing new regulatuons'? With every new law or 'regulation' that passes is one less freedom we have to enjoy, and one step closer to a corruptible government with absolute power. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, we need get back to the basics and constraints of our government not the people. What if we made laws that restricted lawmaking and lawmakers, then we would truly have the freedom to choose and have power over our own lives. Our founding documents were conceived, proposed, debated and ratified on the concept of limiting our lawmakers, individual states can handle their own laws remembering that "WE THE PEOPLE of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity..."
