Yes, she should have because she has wonderful priorities for education. She also served as a distraction from the truly horrifying Jeff Sessions, who really should've been the one the Dems were focusing on. The Secretary of Education and her department has almost no power to do anything. It's a total throwaway department. The AG has massive amounts of leeway to do what he wants. And Sessions, with his arch-conservative views on almost every issue important to progressives (and many, many issues important to libertarians like me) is the epitome of bad picks.
