As a teacher I am required to complete college courses, pass student teaching and pass state tests. I then have to have my students do well enough on tests so that I can get any pay raise. DeVos will be deciding what is best for all our schools and she knows NOTHING about public schools. Are we asking her to have experience? Is there a test age must pass or a degree needed? Maybe we won't pay her based on testing? We must not approve DeVos. She has no experience and no training. Why would we want what is "best" for our students by making sure teachers have proper training and pass certain tests, but not want the same from our Secretary of Education.
