We need to focus on the real problem - Healthcare will never be affordable so long as it is a for profit enterprise, without stronger checks and balances. Patients and doctors are taken advantage of, while the hospital managment, prescription drug companies, and insurance companies rake in $$$ and hold their patients hostage. (Epi-Pen is a great example). I broke my foot (with ACA insurance) and got stuck with a $3,000 bill for an x-ray, ace bandage, and a cold pack. How is that $3000?!?! I had to go elsewhere to get a cast. I checked to be sure the hospital took my insurance before being seen but they failed to tell me that the doctor on staff didn't. I'm thankful I had ACA, my bill would have been even higher, but I recognize the flaws. I'm just not sure anything I've read as a replacement will do a thing to solve the real problem with healthcare in America.
