I'm glad to see this executive order blocked, but we must use our most strident legal arguments to ensure that it is not blocked only temporarily. My rationale has nothing to do with the showman-in-chief's ego, much as that might come as a surprise to him. It is instead about who we are as a people, and how we became such. There has historically been an ebb and flow in our culture's embrace of immigrants, but they quite literally become who we all are as Americans. Isolationism begets cultural atrophy.
