The ignorance of many voting and commenting here is astounding. Congress is NOT on vacation! This time is designated as a “district work period”. What that means is that your congress person is in his local office or touring his local district to keep in contact with his constituents so that he/she can do a better job of representing you. I know my congressman is doing this because I received an email telling me exactly when and where to meet up with him should I want to personally voice any concerns. If your congress person is not that diligent, I strongly suggest you replace him/her with someone who is. But, first, make sure your congressperson has your contact information and knows that you are interested.
