Keep the electoral college, but have their vote represent the popular vote, not the majority-take-all state by state system we have set up now. Our current system unfairly inflates the value of a single rural vote versus a single urban vote. Whether rural or urban, we are American, and one American's voice should not hold more weight than another. Votes dissenting the majority in their state are lost in our current system, as the state declares itself either blue or red. These voters feel disenfranchised and helpless---Those dissenting votes should count. Their voices matter just as much. Our current system is untenable, and that has never made itself more clear than this election.
