The fact that Washington is legitimately debating the repeal of Dodd-Frank only serves to prove how short our collective memories really are. I do NOT want another financial crisis. If you must repeal portions of Dodd-Frank to appease your corporate overlords, please only focus on those provisions that are particularly onerous (keep in mind I am no economist or legal scholar, so I'm deferring to the experts to form my opinion) and leave the key provisions like capital requirements (which the President has unfortunately singled out for repeal) in place to help protect our economy. I shudder to think what would happen if one of the big banks left today failed. Please, I beg of you, don't do anything crazy.
