I don't think it is wise to dismantle a law meant to keep banks working in the public interest. It was penned as a response to what amounted to the most egregious violation of that trust imaginable; a violation that was institutional and devastating to the system built upon their foundation. The people cannot rely upon the better nature of banks working in a fiduciary capacity without accountability. The discipline, or lack thereof, levied on the banks for their criminal mismanagement is already something that leaves a bad taste in every American's mouth. Don't allow president Trump to enable them even further.
