When we try to hide our history, we are doomed to repeat it. A better solution is to learn from the past and understand the reasons why people did the things we now see as evil. And when these people had a change of heart, we must teach that also. That may be a greater lesson than the first. We should all strive to realize that all have fallen short in some way. History will hopefully judge us as fallen humans making the best of the society we have. Let’s take a little trip. Imagine 150 years in the future where statues of Senators Kamala Harris and Dianne Feinstein have been erected in honor their service to the people of California. And then future progressives look at the vote on whether it’s ok to kill infants AFTER birth and realize both of them said, “Yes, it’s even ok to kill a child that has been born” - I suspect these future woke will be clamoring for the removal of those statues also. Well perhaps we’ll never make them in the first place.
