    It is one thing to have people who willingly signed to volunteer to work on your campaign, but it is quite a different matter to advertise a "full time" job and we expect the employees to work 40 or more hours per week as unpaid employees. This means no job benefits or protections such as unemployment or workers comp, in the event of injury on the job. Members of Congress make 3x the ave. wage of US workers. You should pay your interns and other staffers. Most businesses who hire interns pay them a wage or stipend. Even back in the 90's, my husband worked as an intern for a computer firm and he was paid enough of a wage that he was able to graduate from college with very little debt.
