Yes, I believe emotional support animals should have more regulations and rules surrounding the ability to get such a designation. Untrained pets who are labeled as “support animals” and misbehave in public make it harder for people with true service dogs to be accepted in public spaces and businesses. As it stands, people are abusing a loophole to be able to bring their untrained pets with them everywhere. True service dogs/pets have to go through rigorous training and testing to get their certification. Emotional support animals should have to go through some sort screening as well.
