Charlottesville Killing: Was it terrorism?

Terrorism is defined by the U.S. government in Title 22 Chapter 38 U.S. Code § 2656f as "premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against noncombatant targets by subnational groups or clandestine agents." According to our government, this was terrorism quite clearly. I expect the same treatment of "extremist Christian terrorists" as "extremist Islamic terrorists." I expect the president, my representatives and senators, and the judicial system to say the word "terrorism" in relation to this man, his actions, and the group with which he associated (the alt-right, neo-nazi, white supremacists). I expect this man to be brought to the fullest justice possible based on his crimes. I expect quick, harsh condemnation by our leaders of their way of thinking, their heinous racism and unAmerican hatred towards others. This is where our leaders need to step up to the plate and show the public who they really are.
