I recognize real threats do exist and there is sometimes intelligence information the public is not privy to for obvious security reasons. And, the fact that the U.K. is following suit seems to give some credence to the idea that there could be a legitimate threat. Additionally, it is not hard to imagine the travel ban and general disposition of this administration may well have incited those who would do us harm, thereby raising our threat level. So this could be legit. Maybe. The problem here is 45's prior words and actions. Isn't it? Had this administration not campaigned on bigotry and hate and fear and already acted on the same through actions such as his attempted travel ban and that ridiculous walI I would be far less likely to question the true motivations behind this order. I doubt I would have considered such a move by the prior administration so questionable because I was never given cause to question the motivation of an administration so free from scandal and mean spirited rhetoric. Sadly, this is no longer the case. There are other unanswered questions as well. Why only certain devices? Why only certain airports? Hmmm... Count me not entirely uncertain but extremely skeptical on this one.
