What we have is a society that takes no personal responsibility for its actions. When individuals fail to comply with a lawful command from law enforcement, the use of force escalates. The place to settle your disagreement is in the courtroom, not the streets. On the other hand, we have so many laws of control on the books that it is almost impossible to go through your day without violating at least one. What we need is not reform of law enforcement, but reform of the laws themselves.
