I can't help it. My heart breaks when I see people living out of bike trailers and backpacks. No one "deserves" to be homeless. When you see a person on the side of the road with a sign, always remember, you don't know the backstory. More than half a million humans are homeless in this country. This could be one way in which humans differentiate themselves from the "lower" "animals"--the way we choose to treat our less fortunate.
