I sent an earlier message about my concerns regarding Jeff Sessions tone and references towards the KKK. I am specifically referring to the confirmation hearing in 1986 over his federal judgeship appointment where he admitted under oath to saying the KKK was "OK until I found out they smoked pot". Working as an engineer in the private sector I can tell you this behavior even as a joke would be completely unacceptable. Please make sure this is also unacceptable in government, especially by the highest law enforcement officer in the land. Vote against the confirmation for Jeff Sessions and show your minority constituents that you work for them too and are willing to stand up to hate even when it contradicts your party line. If you vote to confirm Sessions, know that you are ultimately condoning this kind of hateful behavior.
