Defense spending accounts for nearly one-in-five dollars that the federal government spends, and taxpayers deserve transparency to minimize and eliminate wasteful spending.
It seems a bit excessive to punish the Department of Defense by placing restrictions on how it budgets for purchases, as this could undermine the military’s readiness.
