senate Bill S. 1170

Does Congress Need to Reauthorize the Breast Cancer Research Stamp?

Argument in favor

Special breast cancer awareness stamps help the federal government raise funding for research efforts conducted by federal agencies, which is a worthy goal and should continue.

How can this be controversial EXCEPT as yet another example of the reality that the citizenry has elected total cretins to make $172,000+ a year to quibble about raising money that actually helps women AND IS VOLUNTARY but who cannot deal with immigration, climate change & voting rights. No hurry! Why don't you quarrel about something you care about, like how much you hate American women & hope we all die of breast cancer! Creeps!!

Duh!! Don't you clowns have better things to work on.....like protecting the country? Let's attach this to a bill limiting congressional benefits. Title it, "The congressional benefits reduction and print the breast cancer stamp act" I would love to hear your reasons for or against......Knotheads!

Sure if the profits go into breast cancer research.

Argument opposed

People would be better off making donations to entities working to stop breast cancer directly rather than buying first class stamps from the Postal Service that may go unused.

The government prints stamps. Why expand government into non-government business.

How many different postage stamps does this country need? Anybody in this country who has no "awareness" of breast cancer is too ignorant to write letters and use postage stamps for such. Keep government and its all-too-common interference, and inane decisions and bureaucratic red tape, out of breast cancer "awareness" and research.

Making donations directly to the cause would allow for more of the funds to be used as intended. The post office can't afford specialty stamps.
