Title

Refugee Protection Act of 2016

Official Title

To amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to reaffirm the United States historic commitment to protecting refugees who are fleeing persecution or torture.

How about the American Citizens' Protection from Islamic Supremacy Act?! About 99.6% of "refugees" are Muslim, and just look at the havoc they are creating in Europe! THIS ISN'T IMMIGRATION, FOLKS; THIS IS AN INVASION! THIS IS CIVILIZATION JIHAD!

Safety from prosecution and tyranny is a fundamental mainstay of not just the American dream but the Human dream. We should safe guard our process and maybe have a new Eles Island. We should not however beat those down around us who strive for the same ideals we do. We can find a way to weed out those that would bring us harm. We can try and we must.

ALL immigration needs to be completely stopped. People are no longer coming here to be American, they are coming here to force their values on us. This is ass backwards!!! We need 30 or 40 years to allow for assimilation. Immigrants need to become Americans, Americans shouldn't have to become immigrants!!!!

This is our house. We get to say who comes in, or not. When it comes to us and them, the sane person picks us every time. If you have become too educated to accept this, you have learned the wrong things. We must take care of ourselves, in order to be able to take care of othersw.

Stop all immigration to this country before we are as densely populated as Europe. Considering the number of "refugees" from Central America and from the Middle East, we will be overrun with potential U.S. enemies and with people becoming leeches on our tax-supported systems.

Sorry but times have changed and America needs to change with the times. We NEED to protect our own instead of taking in all the World's needy. WE have our OWN needy who are not getting their needs met and you want to bring in more? What the hell did we hire you for! Certainly not to bring in more refugees and also put our safety at risk. I so wish I could fire you because I would. What a STUPID DECISION.

America was founded on the basis of protection against tyranny, and to deny other people who are suffering from oppression would be to desecrate the very fundamental values of our country.

When Jewish refugees fled the Nazi regime, our country tried it's best to discourage them out of fear of german spies. We cannot let our fear cloud our good nature to provide safety to families who only want to live their lives in peace. I strongly hope my representatives feel the same way.

Immigration is a serious problem and this bill makes it too easy for refugees to come in the masses

We waste money on them and we don't have jobs for our people. It has to be about getting their votes. I am worried about this country. Bring all these immigrants in and letting everyone out of jail. Is that a really good idea?

What is going on now is these middle eastern people are wanting to come here where it is against their religion every way you can think of. there are many countries that believe and are of the same culture it more wise to stay in your part of the word. it's not a good fit at all! and if they do get in america, you keep your sheria laws back home in the middle east!

It is destructive to bring any muslims here. If they don't agree to reject Sharia, and swear to obey our laws, then do not allow them to enter our country. Islam is not a religion and not peaceful. Stay out if you cannot reject political Islam. We will not submit to it.

America should be a safe harbor for refugees fleeing persecution, but we also should not forget that immigration to the US brings the views, opinions and cultures of the world and our strength here is in our diversity. The fact that people see the US as a place where they could have opportunities and economic stability is actually great for our economy, the problem isn't immigrants coming here to work and create companies, the problem is lazy and uneducated US citizens who see immigration as a personal threat because it means they may have to work harder to compete. We want competition! It's where economic growth and innovation comes from! I take classes with a lot of people who have immigrated from Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, Mexico, Honduras etc. and the immigrants I meet are more driven to succeed in the US than people who grew up in the states, so I know what people here are afraid of, but they haven't recognized the real problem is their own complacency with the way things HAVE been. Nobody is forcing their ideals on anyone else, but if the US doesn't push to lead the world in innovation and technology then we could easily be forced to accept the ideals, culture and military presence of China or Russia or anyone else, just like many countries have had to deal with the US/Western world imposing on their culture.

We can't even vet these people and even the majority or Republicans want these people to keep coming in.

There isnt a reason for protect of those that the US has zero responsibility for. The issue here with the people that are in favor of this idea is that, under that framework, the US would have to help everyone that is having a bad day. Thats not how it works and the world shouldnt be forcing the US to solve the issues half way around the world

Isolationism and fear of muslims is not a reason to hold true to our roots as Americans. We are a nation of immigrants, lets continue to hold true to those values. Only then we can truly prosper when we all work together.
