We need to work on having good relations with our neighbor. I love less than three miles from the Mexican border in Tijuana, and I have never once felt threatened or unsafe from my close proximity to Mexico, quite the opposite. I think the transparency of our border makes our city a culturally more vibrant place. Please do not build a wall, fence or otherwise. We have better things to spend money on.

This concept is so very absurd I feel it shouldn't even be necessary to defend a vote down... I have always felt taxes are a necessary 'evil' of a democratic society, but I will NOT support my taxes going to this ill-conceived monstrosity of a joke. This 'wall' does nothing but make us look like fools to the rest of the world. Even the notion of it has damaged our international reputation! Please, this is ridiculous. This will not 'protect' us, this will not 'make us great', this will not 'save America.' This would cost an absolute fortune (hey, if we tax Mexico's imports to 'pay' for it, guess who pays? WE do!), and accomplish zero. Even the jobs it would create are temporary - a drop in the bucket. Please, we canNOT do this.

Who will make money from this ridiculous project the roadrunner could dismantle with Acme's help?

We've seen how well walls work---in Berlin and Israel/Palestine. Is that what we we are working towards? It's absurd. I think the legislators who are wasting time, ink, paper and our attention on this issue should be deported. To the moon.

This is a waste of resources, time, and money. Instead of building the wall we should focus on the core of the issue amongst other issues that we are facing. This country was founded on the ideals of liberty and justice. I see no justice and freedom in shutting ourselves and and blocking out the rest of the world.

Please oppose this absurd idea of a wall. We do not need to spend billions on a campaign promise which has no practical application in reality.

This nation has a direct need for infrastructure improvements such as ensuring water supplies are free of lead. We have aging bridges and roads that also need immediate assistance.

Huge waste of money. People seeking a better life from the horrible stuff going on in Central America aren't going to let a wall stop them.

This is a waste of taxpayer money, is ineffective, and threatens to damage international relations, while far more pressing concerns exist including improving healthcare.
