Vietnam Helicopter Crew Memorial Act
To direct the Secretary of the Army to place in Arlington National Cemetery a memorial honoring the helicopter pilots and crew members of the Vietnam era, and for other purposes.
(This measure has not been amended since it was introduced. The summary has been expanded because action occurred on the measure.) Vietnam Helicopter Crew Memorial Act (Sec. 2) This bill directs the Department of the Army to place in Arlington National Cemetery a memorial honoring helicopter pilots and crew members who served on active duty in the Armed Forces during the Vietnam era. The Army may place such a memorial only if it enters into an agreement under which the association agrees to: (1) pay all costs necessary to construct, install, and maintain the memorial; and (2) to such other provisions as the Army may require.
If there is a special memorial for bomber pilots during WW2 then maybe. I'm getting tired of all this special ( fill-in-the-blank ) junk is strictly an attempt to get votes in my opinion. These guys/gals need to really think of something beneficial to the country to put into a bill, instead of these busy work bills that do nothing except to waste time, energy, effort and make something they can put their name to.
