Chiropractic Medicare Coverage Modernization Act of 2019

Official Title

To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide Medicare coverage for all physicians' services furnished by doctors of chiropractic within the scope of their license, and for other purposes.

Medicare used to cover Chiropractic care just like any other insurance. People are paying for Medicare in deductibles and monthly payments just like other insurance. About a year ago, Medicare cuts were made, but deductibles, monthly payments & copayments went up. Medicare is demanding that Chiropractors do a regular physical exam which is not only unnecessary, but it costs the patient $40.00 for which Medicare has refused to pay its 80%. Medicare needs to pay for Chiropractic care. Long term... Chiropractic care keeps other medical costs down.
