To amend the Federal Election Campaign Act to extend through 2018 the authority of the Federal Election Commission to impose civil money penalties on the basis of a schedule of penalties established and published by the Commission, to expand such authority to certain other violations, and for other purposes.
(This measure has not been amended since it was introduced. The summary of that version is repeated here.) Amends the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 to extend through December 31, 2018, the authority of the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to impose civil money penalties on the basis of a schedule of penalties it has established and published. Applies such penalties to violations of qualified campaign contribution and expenditure disclosure requirements.
