Cost of Living Equity Act

Official Title

To amend title II of the Social Security Act to provide that the percentage increase applied to benefits each year as a cost-of-living increase under such title shall in no case be less than the percentage increase in compensation of Members of Congress specified for such year under section 31 of title 2, United States Code.


Cost of Living Act - Amends title II (Old Age, Survivors and Disability Insurance) (OASDI) of the Social Security Act to authorize the Commissioner of Social Security to make an adjustment of the percentage increase in OASDI benefits to ensure that such increases are in no case less than the percentage increases in compensation of Members of Congress.
