house Bill H.R. 2715

Stop Child Summer Hunger Act of 2015

He has not fulfilled the promises he was re-elected for. He has been a rubber stamp for Obama. From bills ranging from immigration to the national debt, he has rolled over. Coasting to retirement, he is the archetypal symbol of why we need to get rid of career politicians.

Most of these families cannot afford more than peanut butter, baloney, or nothing at all. These children are malnourished in either case, and their intellectual and physical development suffers as a result. These families have already been vetted for free school lunches and deserve better at no fault of their "working poor" parents. It will more likely cost taxpayers fractions of pennies to help these kids grow up healthy and smart, resulting in themselves achieving a higher tax bracket and earning a larger income than they would otherwise.

Proper meals create better environments for children to thrive in. It is in all of our best interest

A bipartisan bill in support of those who can't fend for themselves. This is a no-brainer.

I agree that $150 is low, but at least it is something.

I agree with the fundamental purpose of this bill, but $150 is an insufficient amount. Children are out of school for approximately 80 days, which works out to be $1.88 a day.

We are too rich a country to have starving children

For many children this is their only meal of the day.

I think it's time to let someone else do the job! You are out of step with what Americans need today. Retirement is not that bad.
