District of Columbia-Maryland Reunion Act
To provide for the retrocession of the District of Columbia to Maryland, and for other purposes.
District of Columbia-Maryland Reunion Act - Cedes the District of Columbia to Maryland after Maryland's acceptance of such retrocession. Declares that the National Capital Service Area in the District of Columbia shall not be ceded and relinquished to such state and shall continue to serve as the permanent seat of the federal government. Maintains the exclusive legislative authority and control of Congress over the Area.
This is long overdue. This is America!s front porch for Americans and visitors from all over the globe. It's a sin that Congress has allowed the city/state of D.C. to become a blite on our reputation as the wealthiest most power nation in the world. For goodness sake! If Maryland is willing allow them to absorb D.C. and get crime and poverty under control. Rebuild its beauty to what Jefferson designed originally. Make it a showcase for American ingenuity, freedom and faith. Surely it will then make us proud and everyone will want to ship, live and work there. The history is so amazing. This alone will be a draw for capitalists and property owners to invest and thrive. CONGRESS must vote in favor for the good of all.
