house Bill H.R. 267

If You Volunteered In The Peace Corps, Should You Be Able To Use Their Logo On Your Grave Stone?

Argument in favor

Peace Corps volunteers worked hard to improve communities around the world, and for little to no pay. They should have the right to use the Peace Corps name to represent the pride in their work.

First of all your dead. And since you're dead already, who are they going to fine or put in prison? Current law is absurd.

Peace Corps volunteers worked hard to improve the global community; they should be able to display their pride in the work they've done as part of the organization.

Argument opposed

This bill also allows applicants who did not serve as volunteers to use the Peace Corps’ logo. Why should they get the same right to use it as people who actually did the volunteer work?

Another deceiving bill title. If it were changed to only those who served then yes.
