Florida Coastal Protection Act
To amend the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act to prohibit oil and gas preleasing, leasing, and related activities in certain areas of the Outer Continental Shelf off the coast of Florida, and for other purposes.
Florida Coastal Protection Act This bill amends the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act to prohibit the Secretary of the Interior from offering any tract located in the following areas for either oil and gas leasing or preleasing: the Eastern Gulf of Mexico that is referred to in the Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act of 2006, the portion of the South Atlantic Planning Area south of 30 degrees 43 minutes North Latitude, or the Straits of Florida Planning Area.
Don't let the title of the bill fool you! This is part of the Left's war on fossil fuels. Of course we need to protect our coastal areas, but not THIS way! Oh, and BTW, the UN wants to control ours oceans and coastal waters! Don't believe me? Read up on their Agendas 21 & 30. And clearly the Obama Administration and his loyal Democrat toadies don't care if it costs us our SOVEREIGNTY!
