What is H.R. 1680?

This bill would make any person listed on the official membership roll of the Tohono O'odham Nation, a federally recognized American Indian nation in Arizona, a U.S. citizen as of the date of such listing. The bill would apply only to the individually-enrolled Tohono O'odham Nation member, and not relatives or spouses. The bill wold consider a valid membership credential issued to a person listed on the official Tohono O'odham Nation membership roll the equivalent of a certificate of U.S. citizenship and a state-issued birth certificate.
