This is my opinion regarding school security. First, trying to find the  person that is going to do such a thing is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack the size of Washington. Nearly Impossible!

Secondly, securing our schools will work and speaking with  a security expert would help politicians understand how it can  be done efficiently. Our schools are the easiest to secure because it's a controlled environment and most, if not all, incidents involve juveniles.

Possible actiions to secure: Double layer of doors at main entrance with bullet proof glass on inner glass for teacher and security to observe everyone without fear before being allowed into school. Metal detectors in the place, of course.

All other doors open only from the inside unless released by security for emergencies and are montored inside and out.

All windows less than  six off the ground be secured with at least on way glass.

And, of course, a monitor at all times, in the protected area at main entrance and control entry and exit through school day.

It might  time to take  money alloted for these things an use it to secure our schools and building something else.
