house Bill H.R. 1446

Getting Back To The Moon

Argument in favor

As a world leader, the U.S. should be at the forefront of space innovation. Returning to the moon and establishing a base there would be a massive accomplishment, creating momentum for further exploration in the final frontier.

Argument opposed

There is no plan to fund this project, which will undoubtedly be very costly. With private sector companies handling more of NASA’s logistics, the U.S. should look beyond the Moon to Mars or asteroids.

We need to go back to the moon because the future of the human race depends on it. We need to learn how to colonize and terraform other planets because our solar system has about half a billion years until our sun dies. The Kardeshev Scale also shows that in order for humans to progress we need to learn more about the field of science to survive forever. The moon is a way to learn how to do this to other planets as this can be a learning ground.
