Summary

Safeguarding America's Future Economy Act of 2009 - Establishes a bipartisan Joint Select Committee on Long-Term Financial Security.
This is really a great idea as long as it stays analytical. If facts, and only facts, are employed to establish trends, this can be HUGELY productive. Unfortunately, economic recessions and depressions do happen in the world and really mostly based on inflations and deflations of costs which are unsustainable. However, this could be used to identify problems beforehand and root out sources of problems to, at the least, soften the blow.
