Official Title

Designating a National Railroad Monument located in Diamond District Park in historic downtown Durand, Michigan, as the "National Railroad Memorial".

Summary

Expresses the sense of Congress that the National Railroad Monument located in Diamond District Park in historic downtown Durand, Michigan, be designated as the National Railroad Memorial.
I urge the Department of the Interior not to strip protections from our country’s national monuments. These lands and waters should be enjoyed and protected for generations to come — not carved up by fossil fuel companies for short-term profit. Allowing fossil fuel companies access to our country’s national monuments in would hurt communities that rely on outdoor tourism, destroy priceless cultural sites, and permanently damage or destroy unique landscapes and ecosystems. Please do not change the protected status or reduce the area of any of our national monuments!
