What Everyone Is Watching
What’s Worth Watching
For the first time since taking office, the President returns to Trump Tower in New York City. This comes after an extended stay at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
On Friday, President Trump announced "we're going to have a pretty big press conference on Monday", but no details have yet been released to the White House press pool.
Hope this week is better than the last, CountaCuties.

I am concerned that the "Unite the Right" hate group that sparked acts of domestic terrorism & boldly displayed the rise of neo-Nazism is coming to Boston this weekend under the guise of a Free Speech Rally. This cannot happen. Their permits must be revoked. Our representatives must band together to ensure this hatred, violence & vitriol is not welcome in Massachusetts. What are you doing to ensure the safety of our POC? Our LGBTQ community? Our Jews? Our Muslims? Our Native people? Our women? Our marginalized and oppressed people?
People have the right for free speech. People do not have the right to try to commit murder and commit terrorism.
The neo-Nazi KKK white supremacists showed up armed to the teeth and carrying torches. The counter-protestors showed up with signs and slogans. The white supremacists bludgeoned the counter-protestors, and one of their number coldly and deliberately committed vehicular murder. And yet there's still a question about whose side owns the violence and whether they are terrorists or not? Wake up, America! This is a fascist uprising. Remember, the Nazis are the bad guys, always have been, always will be. We and the rest of the world literally fought a war over that. The fallen troops of WWII must be whirling in their graves at the sight of Nazis in our streets, and to hear the GOP coddling them, even defending them.
I'm writing to demand that you call for the resignation of Steve Bannon, Sebastian Gorka and Stephen Miller. These three men have histories of extremist ideologies and should not be working in the White House. The American people deserve a Presidential administration that has no ties to racism, the KKK, white supremacy, or Nazis. The White House needs to cut ties to these three divisive figures to show the nation and the world that the President does not endorse racism, white supremacy, the KKK or Nazism. It is now time for Congress to call for their resignation so we can begin to heal from the damage that has been done. Thank you for your time and attention.
As John Legend stated, what is needed is to impeach the White Supremacist in our White House!!
Yes, "the killing of Heather Heyer and the injuring of 19 others in Charlottesville was terrorism."
The White House is full of Nazi sympathizers, and includes Steve Bannon who hopes to destroy our government entirely. POTUS hopes to be the Fascist dictator of our country using racist, xenophobic, Islamophobic, misogynistic, homophobic hate memes and dog whistles beginning with his idiotic birther nonsense. What will it take to get this evil Goldman Sachs white supremacist bunch out of the White House ? When will the 25th Amendment be employed to remove this immoral, anti-American? Will it only be after our freedoms or our entire existence have been destroyed? I want my great grandchildren to have peace, freedom, and a planet with wilderness to cherish. I don't want a petulant child in the White House supported by Nazi and Fascist believers.
I am heartened by the response of so many Americans at anti-hate rallies and on line letting the wannabe Natzis know that what the world saw in their march in Charlottesville will not be a "new normal" for America. Unfortunately, the response or rather the sad lack of response from Trump shows us that more than his previous ignorance, his petty vindictiveness, his self aggrandizement, and his dangerous lack of control, this is a hallow man with no heart or soul and above all no real care for the American people. What a small, sad man he is.
These are the Trump supporters and our elected leaders need to recognize that he needs to be stopped. The GOP needs to grow some balls and put country first and party last
I SUSPECT WITH THIS CHARLOTTESVILLE TERRORIST ATTACK, THAT TRUMP HAS JUST KICKED OFF OUR SECOND CIVIL WAR. I HOPE VERY MUCH MY SUSPICIONS ARE WRONG.
Trump has made it clear he is a nazi sympathizer. The alt right is America's ISIS and they must be routed from both the government and American society by any means necessary. The time for Trump to be removed either through the 25th amendment or impeachment is here. Now. If the republicans and democrats are unable or unwilling to do so we must elect those that will instead choose democracy over fascism, before a second civil war becomes inevitable. This is not normal. This is not ok.
So Mr. Trump finally (but not until after he gave himself a plug with inaccurate employment /jobs figures and some sort of Trade deal)) calls out the KKK, and all the other hate groups too numerous to mention but he is TWO DAYS TOO LATE. His calls for unity and love are insincere. He should condemn and expel those on his staff who have these beliefs and even have spoken on his behalf. And just to let him know David Duke is the head of the KKK and used the President's name in all those hateful actions in which he had a part. Why didn't Trump admonish and distance himself from that?
Free speech is in our constitution but if involving hate crimes then they should be considered home grown white supremacist terrorists punishable! We need to impeach45 while we're busy in congress ! His lack of values and character should be enough to impeach him! He's a fake president he's not in it for us he's in it for his rich friends he's a phony and he's making me feel disgraced and afraid in my country!
Charlottesville Aftermath? The events of this past week are not extra ordinary. It will happen again. Charlottesville is just where the extreme right came out into the light of day for all to see. Trump ran his campaign on a platform of bullying, divisiveness, hate, innuendo, sexism, racism and lies. He has spent his adult life without a moral compass and with ethics that are as low as he could reach. No one has called him out on his poor character. Politicians and the news media have avoided high lighting his weakness of character and continually act surprised each time his under belly is exposed. Respect for the office of the President is well and good but I can have no respect for the man that holds the office today. Today is 1933, Nazi Germany and we don't want a repeat of history. We must not give the extreme right a venue to spread their influence. Trump must stand against them or with them. If with them the US can no longer be considered the leader of the free world but must be treated like a pariah and watched closely. The fate of the German people of 1933 is waiting for us.
Please urge the White House to take a stronger public stance against white supremacy.
Stronger legislation on hate speech and assemblies are needed. Marching with torches invoking lynchings is un-American.
This is not unexpected and the reaction of our current president should not surprise anyone. The vermin now feel entitled to come out in the daylight. Trump has tacitly encouraged their ideas and is profiting from their enthusiastic support. We need to press our representatives, both local and federal, to speak out. If they don't we will speak out in the next election.
It is time to reclaim our country and its symbols. Every American, military or civilian, who rejects dictatorship, Nazism, white supremacists, because they are domestic terrorists; who will not have a dictator in the Executive office, needs to fly the American flag from their house, their car, their bodies as a symbol of liberty, freedom from oppression, the people's voice. This is not partisan, this is American. The chaos and violence cannot and will not continue. Our representatives in positions to be heard must speak out in voices loud enough to quell this abomination.
People do awful things to each other.
