The Daily Countable: Take Action Today!
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 28, 2017
Good morning, CountaPeeps!
The Senate health care vote is delayed and some folks are cheering. Don’t count your chickens too soon. The House delayed and still got it done. It’s not over until it’s over.
Meanwhile, border wall plans are proceeding, the 2018 budget process stumbles along, there’s no agreement on the debt limit, and what was that about tax reform?
The President: IN WASHINGTON
Today President Trump will lead a tribal, local and State energy roundtable at the White House
This afternoon he’ll host a meet and greet with the Chicago Cubs, and then meet with folks who were victims of crimes perpetrated by immigrants. He’s hoping to advance legislation as a result.
This evening he’ll give remarks at the Republican National Committee dinner which is being held...at the Trump International Hotel.
The House of Representatives: IN SESSION
Voting on a bill to reform medical malpractice lawsuits involving federally subsidized care.
Voting on a bill to name a park in Washington, D.C. as "Robert Emmet Park."
The Senate: IN SESSION
- Debating the nomination of Neomi Rao to be the OMB’s Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs.
What to Watch
- The Senate Intelligence Committee is holding a hearing this morning, 10 AM EDT, about Russian interference in European elections. Watch it here.
Don’t be distracted by the hype, CountaFam! You’re smarter than that.
