On the news yesterday that special counsel Robert Mueller is investigating President Trump for possible obstruction of justice charges, do you think he and his team are right to investigate?

In response to B.R. Proof of obstruction is what the investigation is supposed to find out. If the president is innocent, he has nothing to fear. However there is overwhelming evidence that the president may have tried to obstruct justice by asking numerous intelligence officials to make the Russia investigation go away. I wonder if you were as concerned about the millions of dollars congress spent doing more than 5 separate investigations into Benghazi and none of them ever had a shred of evidence that a scandal existed much less were able to prove any wrongdoing. The real reason Benghazi happened was because Republicans, hating Hilary Clinton, refused to fund the State Department with the money requested for embassy Security.
Robert Mueller has the right to follow this investigation wherever it takes him. I think Americans have a right to know who, what, where, why and how we have been compromised. We also have a right to know how a member of the Cabinet was able to be confirmed when his checkered past was known. On a separate note, what are we doing to protect protect the election process?
The President is not above the law.
For the thousandth time, yes. We demand answers. If there is nothing to hide, why is this administration being so shady?
There is no proof of obstruction. The only investigation that warrants attention is how Russia interfered with our elections and how to prevent in the future. All these other investigations are based on nothing but wishful thinking in order to discredit the President and members of the cabinet and are a waste of the taxpayers money.
Trump is his own worst enemy. If he has nothing to worry about, he should stop tweeting, reign in his son and stop the complaining. The excuses for this man are crazy. Ryan said he was new to all this and a FOX commentator said that Trump doesn't lie because he really believes what he is saying. He seems to be hell bent on destroying himself.
He is absolutely correct to investigate obstruction of justice. I hope the Special Counsel presses onward! The verbal threats and firing of former FBI director are blatant attempts to obstruct justice!
We need transparency in our government. The president and his administration are not above the law.
When trump ASKED Russia to hack the DNC, either they did it then, or they did it previously. Either way, how can he be either cleared, or charged, without an investigation?
Aside from so much smoke on so many things, the president himself on live TV said "I fired Comey because of that Russia thing." Sounds a lot like an abuse of power to obstruct/end an investigation that may implicate self. Definitely deserves a look. (Putting it nicely) Yes, mueller is correct. Thank you Mr Mueller for working for country, preserving democracy & protecting the republic. Mahalo
Yes He is right to investigate what ever falls under the umbrella of the Russian interference and its cover up
Not even the President is above the law yet he continues to refuse to dis-connect with his business and he still receives money from his businesses. He also continually interferes with the Justice Department which is investigating his obstruction of Russia interfering with our election. This man thinks he is above our constitutional laws.
Yes Mueller is absolutely right to investigate Trump.🇺🇸
Investigating President Trump for obstruction of justice is absolutely imperative. Muller needs the support and staff to conduct a full investigation of Trump's activities and motives for firing Comey. Transparency on this issue is absolutely essential to rebuild the trust of the American people. Thank you.
An investigation isn't a conviction but it appears there is mounting evidence that obstruction took place. The American people deserve the truth not the won't discuss that comments of the cabinet members who refused to answer Congressional questions even though there was no legal basis for refusal.
As long as an equal OR greater effort is spent on #TrumpRussia AND ALL associated matters AS WAS spent on the Whitewater and Benghazi investigations, I will be as happy as a pig in a sty! Funny the level of hypocrisy now that the shoe is on the other foot. PLEASE CALL YOUR Members of Congress and tell them to keep the investigation going until Trump is exonerated or impeachment begins. Anything less is UNACCEPTABLE! Signed, A True Patriot Who Believes In Science and Scientific Investigation! Luddites & Flat Earthers move along --- nothing to see here.
For the sake of our country the people need to know there President is not interfering with the investigation into the Russian attack on our system of government.
Demanding an investigation is the most obvious step in the checks and balances that lend to our democracy. The only thing standing between us and a Putin/Duterte/Jong Un type leader is that there are checks and balances, and other politicians standing in the way of deep seeded corruption. Be the thing in the way of corruption, not the yes-men, spewing obsequious platitudes to a narcissistic, illiterate megalomaniac who has somehow seized the office of president. History will remember you for safeguarding our country against corruption. Thank you
Mueller is absolutely correct to investigate obstruction of justice. That charge is tangential to the investigation of how exactly the Russians involved themselves in influencing the election and IF there was willing involvement by any Americans. The investigation didn't start at the door of the Trump campaign - the investigation started simply because it became apparent from intelligence services that interference and manipulation occurred. Unexplained coincidences of contact between Trump affiliates/campaign members/Trump family members and Russian representatives brought some focus (rightfully so) of the investigation towards those people. All of that seems very straightforward to me. It's an investigation, investigations follow threads - it's not personal. President Trump made it personal, by characterizing it that way, by being unprepared that as President or as a highly placed campaign or administration official - EVERYTHING is looked at through a magnifying glass. President Trump has been unable to focus on his actual job as he dwells and foments on what should have been simply an investigation that would begin, reach conclusions, and end. As an American, I don't buy the notion that this brilliant businessman billionaire's lack of governmental experience is an excuse for not understanding how the three branches balance and check each other. It's his JOB to learn the protocols of being President and abide by them - especially with respect to investigations that have to do with safe-guarding our entire governmental process. No one forced him to engage in suspiciously obstructionist behavior. It's his own lack of self control that brought that to his door. It is quite possible no proof of collusion will be found in the election interference investigation. That possible result does NOT, however, excuse his personal behavior or resolve the obstruction investigation. Two. Separate. Issues. A person can be suspected but completely innocent of committing a crime and yet be completely guilty of misleading/stonewalling/obscuring or obstructing investigation of the crime.
This is really getting old.
