President Trump in West Bank as Many Still Reeling From Manchester Bombing

by Countable | 5.23.17

Good morning, CountaFamily!

It’s hard to be pithy in the face of events like the bombing in Manchester. Let us honor those lost with attention, engagement, and open hearts. As Countable founder Bart Myers wrote recently:

"We should strive to have a conversation with someone who is different from us. We should endeavor to understand them, not sway them. Each of us, doing that every day, from here on out will rebuild trust. We’ll create an environment where problems can be solved."

The President: IN THE WEST BANK

  • Visiting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank.
  • Announcing the administration’s budget for fiscal year 2018.

The House of Representatives: IN SESSION

The Senate: IN SESSION

Be well, CountaFriends! We are so glad to be here with and for you.

"It is hard to put aside partisanship. It is hard to give up the easy wisecracking jeer that divides and destroys. It is hard - very hard - to have worked sincerely and wholeheartedly for a cause and to have lost. Most of all, it is hard to put aside personal prejudices. And yet we must put these things aside."- Stephen Vincent Benet
