Happy Monday, CountaCommunity! President Trump continues his overseas adventures in Israel today and, so far, Washington is lacking in drama. Don’t worry, just give ‘em a minute. Lack of drama does not mean lack of action, though, so let’s see what everybody’s up to today!
May drama not be the only thing that keeps us paying attention to politics. Amen (or not, if that’s not your thing).
The president started the day e-a-r-l-y for those of us in the U.S. He spoke at an arrival ceremony in Israel at 5:15 AM EDT and then gave joint remarks with Israeli President Rivlin at 6:15 AM EDT.
Joint remarks with Prime Minister Netanyahu will broadcast at 12:25 PM EDT. Watch the televised remarks here.
President Trump will be visiting the Western Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Whether or not Netanyahu will join him is still unclear. Watch the White House Twitter feed for live coverage.
The Trump/Russia investigation continues. Rep. Chaffetz (R-UT) stated Sunday that he expects to meet with recently-ousted FBI Director James Comey today. A press conference is likely afterwards, or at least remarks in a Capitol hallway. Keep an eye on the CNNPolitics Twitter feed.
Good luck, CountaFriends!
"If only one of the presidential candidates would make it part of his platform to do something about making Monday part of the weekend. I think he would get a lot of votes."-- Thomas Wayne

The bar is set so low for this so called President that all he needs to do is get dressed and stay off Twitter and suddenly he is so "Presidential". His supporters are drinking the kool aid faster than the Ministry of Propaganda can make it.
If Congress and the President can do a couple small, itty bitty little things for America, I will consider their year a success. 1. Do not leave 24 million Americans without access to health care. 2. Do not pass off a HUUUGE tax break to the uber rich as a WONDERFUL health care plan. 3. Protect the environment. Three little things, pleeeze!
Michael & Cory, you both voted for Wilbert Ross and will be held accountable. It's great that his is so impressed by the lack of protesters in Saudi Arabia. Cory you probably thing no one paid them, but in fact Saudi Arabia doesn't allow free speech. Amazing huh. You guys nominated a guy that thing free speech is inconvenient. Well both of you will lose my vote for voting for this incompetence.
Have you read the budget? Medicaid cuts will throw millions off without healthcare. Almost every subsidy to help those in need being removed. From after school programs to SSDI which helps the disabled unable to sustain work. Take a look just off printing presses. The rich get richer the poor, are going to die.
45 denies he mentioned Israel to Russians....this guy is a known fraud and liar. Beware America!
seems like trump is working hard
Protect our kids. No they don't pay taxes. No they don't donate to your re-election. But they are our future. They deserve to receive the best we have to give: safety, health, education and a clean earth. I have been a pediatrician for over 30 years. Always among my colleagues and me, the question to be answered has been "What is the best for this kid and this family?" Keeping that goal in mind, we worked as a team, forgot egos and money. Pretty much, we found our work rewarding, we respected each other and going to work was fun. Could you all be pediatricians for just a while?
I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO McDONALD TRAMP, AND TO THE RUSKIES FOR WHICH HE STANDS, ONE NATION, UNDER PUKIN INVOLUNTARILY, WITH SLAVERY AND CORRUPTION FOR ALL !!!! OH !!!! SO! PATHETICALLY PATRI IDIOTIC AMERICAN RECESSIVES ??? IS THIS TRULY WHAT YOU SELF SERVING REPUBLICAN SCUM WANT ????
