To some, it was a long time coming. To others, it's felt like 100 years. Truth is, it's been 100 days since Donald Trump was inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States.
So what do you think: how's he done so far? (Let us -- and your reps -- know by clicking the Take Action button!)
In Washington, of course, opinions on Trump's initial days are as polarized as ever.
Ask officials at the White House and they'll tell you this: President Trump has accomplished a lot in the past few months. His administration has unwound 13 Obama-era regulations ranging from a limited gun control measure to aggressive environmental standards. Trump has also issued numerous executive actions on a variety of issues, including strict new vetting for immigrants and refugees, and, more recently, opening up oil-drilling possibilities in the Atlantic Ocean.
The White House has also had some successes in Congress, at least when it comes to getting Trump's nominees through the Senate. It took longer than they would’ve liked but Republicans have now filled Trump’s cabinet and also confirmed a conservative to fill the vacancy on the Supreme Court: Justice Neil Gorsuch.
"I think he’s put together a pretty good cabinet," Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) told reporters at the Capitol. “We did do one good thing. He nominated an outstanding judge to be on the Supreme Court and we confirmed him – that is big time good work.”
Democrats, unsurprisingly, have a quite different view of these past 100 days.
President Trump and Congressional Republicans have no major legislative victories on which to hang their hats so far; no border wall, no tax reform plan, and they even had to pull their bill to repeal and replace Obamacare before a scheduled vote in the House.
"It’s chaotic, it’s ineffective, it’s impulsive," Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) told reporters at the Capitol this week. “It’s as if the president finally realized he was approaching his 100 days with nearly nothing to show for so he scrambled to make progress on the wall and healthcare and taxes. All three areas, this desperate sprint has only left these three areas more damaged than before.”
Democratic Leaders also say many White House budget proposals to cut government spending, such as eliminating programs within the Department of Housing and Urban Development, put the desires of special interest groups over the needs of the American people.
"This budget is loaded with broken promises to working people and promises kept to wealthy people," House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Cal.) said. “On the subject of infrastructure, the president promised, 'We’re going to start spending on infrastructure big. Not like we have a choice,' he said. Instead his budget slashes billions for job creating infrastructure investments and the transportation.”
What do you think of the beginning of Donald Trump's presidency? How's he done?

If I could use pictures to comment I would because the scene from malcolm in the middle where the youngest brothers at his birthday saying "I expect nothing and I'm still let down" is going to be the motto of this presidency. I knew he was going to be terrible but he exceeded my expectations
My greatest hope is that the Trump administration will have a long-term positive effect on American politics and democracy by vaccinating us against nationalism, nepotism, poor ethics and demagogues. We should be thankful that Donald Trump is impotent, a deactivated virus. But in all seriousness he has been the least qualified, laziest, and most ethically challenged president we have ever encountered. Should the Russia allegations prove true, his presidency will at a minimum now be associated with the worst scandal in American history. If he is personally implicated in the scandal, maybe Donald Trump will replace Benedict Arnold as the best at treason.
This man is absolutely the worst president. It feels like forever and has only been 100 days. How long does he stay there? Until we are all blown to bits by North Korea. He has insulted every ally and world leader. He's an absolute embarrassment worldwide. We need this Russia collusion thing busted wide open while we are all still alive. GOP stop putting party before country. Shame on all of you
Trump will go down as the worst president ever.
Trump is THE WORST president. Congress needs to step up & impeach him. These distractions he keeps concocting, with Syria & now North Korea; to distract from his treasonous ties to Russia, numerous business conflicts & complete incompetence are too dangerous. Those of you who defend him are on the wrong side of history & are not representing your constituents at all.
The absolute worst president ever.
Mr. Trump's first 100 days have been interminable. Each new day brought a new lie or catastrophe (or both), it seemed. The White House is full of unqualified donors, CEOs, and noted racists. The President has spent a shameful amount of time playing golf while he allows the American taxpayers to pay for his children's business trips. He simpers, boasts, whines and attacks his "enemies" (which includes private citizens) on Twitter if his tenuous ego is bruised, showing the world that America's leader really should have spent more time with his studies. He surrounds himself with the 1%, yet he told voters he was a populist. His ham-fisted attempts at enacting a ban on refugees and immigrants from majority-Islamic countries have damaged our country's international relationships. He courts war by provoking North Korea. I'm insulted and suspicious that he won't produce his tax history. I'm outraged that he sells access to himself through his Florida resort. I'm disgusted by his flagrant nepotism and his adult children's opportunism. It's very apparent that Mr. Trump lacks the discipline, focus, critical thinking skills, and maturity to meet the demands of his job.
100 days of incompetence. Worst of any administration in modern history. I am terrified of his plans for our future.
His crowning achievement so far is getting a justice that thinks it's ok for companies to fire their employees for avoiding freezing to death to the Supreme Court. And to do it they had to change the rules and throw bipartisanship out the window. It makes me want to vomit.
"Pocahontas?" How much longer will representatives from Arkansas tolerate hate speech from Donald Trump? End it now.
Without a doubt the most embarrassing, undiplomatic, most corrupt, laziest, uninformed, irresponsible, destructive, self-aggrandizing, self centered, thin skinned , paranoid, bigoted president in the history of the United States.
Why can you say. For all his business acumen he certainly hasn't been able to deliver. And that is a good. He has nothing to offer for the working class or the middle class. He has a lot to offer to the plutocrats. How long will it be before the Russian connection touches him very near.
To quote Pelosi, "This budget is loaded with broken promises to working people and promises kept to wealthy people," House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Cal.) said. “On the subject of infrastructure, the president promised, 'We’re going to start spending on infrastructure big. Not like we have a choice,' he said. Instead his budget slashes billions for job creating infrastructure investments and the transportation.” Please do whatever you can to ensure ALL Americans are FAIRLY represented-- not just the ultra rich who are so far out of touch with the majority of Americans that they act like Marie Antionette. We don't want cake-- we want clean air, clean water, a healthy planet, and affordable healthcare. We want to promote the desirability of our country, not decimate it, which is what will happen without the EPA, National Parks, public schools, and will be further exacerbated by bigoted policies towards immigrants, people of color, the LGBTQ community, and women. Who wants to live somewhere smog-ridden, with unpotable water, crumbling roads, no healthcare, and maniacs with guns roaming freely? Please, make commin sense common again!
It is like 300 million people knowing a deadly car accident is about to happen but being able to do nothing except watch.
He is shirking most of his responsibility. I am newly retired and still could not afford to take the time to golf and rally as much as he has. He could continue to staff his administration. He did not have a clue how involved this job really is. We all are tired of the bs and lies he spews on a daily basis. The venomous tweets he sends are unacceptable at any level. His only real credit is getting the stolen Supreme Court justice seat filled.
We need an independent, bi-partisan investigation into Russia. Republicans, I know you don't want to kill the golden goose, but it's time to put country above party.
Trump's first 100 days have been a nightmare for me. First thing I do in the morning is message my reps. Many nights I can't sleep because of worry about the future of my children and grandchildren. I don't understand why more hasn't been done with the Trump/Russia connection. With so much probable cause for impeachment and nothing gets done. What does the public need to do to light a fire under you guys???
He has played golf lot. He has entertained foreign dignitaries at Mar a Lago at our expense. He is trying to undo The EPA and return us to Smog, polluted rivers, illegal dumping of contaminated waste, etc. Maintaing his family in New York is a burden on the tax payers, an inconvenient burden on New York Police & the community. ETC....
In my estimation 100 days is 100 days too long. Let's get to the bottom of this Russian investigation and impeach him as soon as possible. More investigations into the voting irregularities. It is a bigger issue than how it is being reported. The most inept Administration and President EVER!
People don't even look at the facts. They hated him before, they hated him at inauguration, and they hate him now. His second day they were already proclaiming it the "worst presidency ever." People eat up whatever the media feeds them.
