I would encourage Congress to take a strong stand against military action toward North Korea and instead encourage the White House to have a solid, consistent message backed up by solid diplomacy and multi-lateral efforts. This Administration seems bent upon solitude, confusion and inconsistency, which may work in the board room, but this is a bigger stage with less reliable players and much higher stakes. It is time for Congress to step up and demand that the Executive branch reliably govern. We need to get our own house in order and off of Twitter. My oldest son is currently stationed at the JSA in the DMZ in South Korea. I could not be more proud of the job he is doing. I believe we have a responsibility to our allies, like South Korea, and that he is the front line in protecting them from North Korean aggression. But I am not accepting of actions like lies about the location and mission of our carrier groups and inflammatory statements about what we will/will not do with North Korea being splattered all over social media by the President. It is time for the President to grow into the shoes he was elected to fill. Not by starting a war, but by recommitting our Nation to being a beacon of freedom and peace. He should not be on Twitter drumming up support of his constituents for a war and bragging about the bombs he has/is willing to drop, but should be coming to Congress to seek approval for any escalation that could put us at war. And Congress should be demanding to have the responsibility to approve our involvement in any war and any major action that could start one. Diplomacy is not about waving about your biggest bombs. Supporting our allies is not about lying about sending an armada to their aid. This is real life using real lives with real consequences and it is time that all of the branches of our government put on their grown-up pants and began acting like it.

We have no business in Korea neither North or South. We as a country do not benefit in any way by WAR. Look at the crippled and maimed that return with permanent scares and artificial limbs or permanently bound to a wheel chair or worse having to live with the mental agony of what they did for the "sake" of war. Some would have you believe this is a fair price for all to pay to kill other humans. Listen to what they expect of you. I do not consent to War I do not consent to blood shed of anyone, I do not consent to support the destruction of War or the machine behind it. You have a choice to be war like or loving as a human, only you can decide.

It's just a smoke show by trump to distract us from his horrible domestic policy. They already operate under the heaviest sactions in the world. We need to pursue a multinational approach to this and not cowboy diplomacy.

Our country, more than ever before, needs experienced, professional and strategic-thinking diplomats to address the big and dangerous mess that is North Korea. Stop tweeting and throwing stupid ideas to which you have not given a single thought, Mr. Trump. Alliances with China, South Korea and, for that matter, all other Asian countries are more critical than ever. Get working!

Look everybody! We cannot sit idly by while they continue to test missiles and nuclear weapons while at the same time saying that they are going to fry America. That is unacceptable! What? Wait for them to bomb Hawaii or the West Coast? Obviously diplomacy and nice discussions have never worked as The North Koreans continue to threaten South Korea, Japan, and the Philippines as well as us! So how about you liberal crybabies out there get some skin and support the country that you are so privileged to live in! We will support our allies and we will not tolerate this behavior within the international community!

The current North Korean situation is a serious failure of US policy, and it came into being before Trump became president. Trump, with his rash and impulsive approach to problems, is hardly a reassuring person to be taking decisions that could lead to a nuclear conflict. But you don’t have to be a Trumpian to see why the United States government regards a rogue state having the ability to threaten the US homeland with nuclear missiles as unacceptable. If China wants to prevent a war in its backyard, it should take Trump’s warnings on North Korea seriously and bring Kim Jong-un to heel.

There can be no moral war. Even when war is a necessary evil, it is still an evil. Someone will still have to bury their child, Someone will lose their home, and Someone will die. We must never glorify the horror that is war, nor should we seek it out.

I am strongly against the Trump administration taking any sort of "preemptive" military action against North Korea. I believe that if they were to do so, it would put the world at high risk of nuclear war. There is no higher priority than preventing a nuclear world war! As my representatives please take a strong, vehement stance against our attacking Korea.

I oppose a preemptive strike on N. Korea. I'm sure Kim Jong Un would like nothing better - because once you open the door - he's free to go after the U.S., S. Korea, and surrounding countries. I can think of no greater travesty, and no greater risk to our national security. A preemptive strike will push the people of N. Korea closer to their crazy leader, at a time when there are small rumblings of dissent. A preemptive strike will start a war, one that is unnecessary, one we cannot afford, one with no positive outcome for the U.S.

There are plenty of moments in human history when a bunch of hard headed men running countries felt they had to put their proverbial dicks on the table through military action. Take WWII for example, when 60 million people died as a result. I would rather spend this money here in the U.S. - we all know we need help domestically.

No! We've already been to Korea. The time must come that we learn to work in the world, for the betterment of the world, without violence. We are a global society. Many may not want to believe it. But unless we accept that fact and move forward with the world as our first priority, we are doomed to destruction and war!

With the current Clown Circus that is occupying the White House, any military action that escalates into war would be an unmitigated disaster for the United States. I would not trust this bunch to organize a yard sale.
