Before bills and nominations are brought up for a passage vote in Congress, they typically have to be considered and approved by relevant committees. Here’s a look at some of this week’s high profile committee hearings.
The House Foreign Affairs Committee’s Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific will hold a hearing titled "North Korea’s Diplomatic Gambit: Will History Repeat Itself?" featuring testimony from three experts on Korea policy. 2pm ET

Reject Pompeo! He’s a known Warhawk. We need a Secretary of State who believes in diplomacy to solve differences.
Why is Kevin Sabo still on my payroll? Why is Pruitt still on my payroll? Do your jobs Dismiss both
Reject pompeo. He is no diplomat!
With Pruitt doing Trumps bidding, we will never, ever recover from the destruction occurring across the country. We are, as citizens of the world responsible for what we do to our environment.
Regulate Facebook and do not confirm Pompeo!
Please stop fooling around with the nonsense and work on the problem all want you to address. Gun Control. Gun Control Gun Control. Everything else can wait. We still have legal assault guns on the street of our nation. By the by, address Gun Control.
Re: Zuckerberg, please do not let him get away with “I’m sorry.” We may very well have an illegitimate president due to his greed. Re: Pompeo, please vote NO, we do not need a tea party hawk sycophant as Secretary of State. Bad enough we have Bolton as NSA advisor and he may have deep ties to russia, the nra & cambridge analyitica.
Corporations like social media are certain they could do a good job of self regulation but only seem keen to try when the government starts talking about regulating their industry for them. Until then they're certain the invisible hand of the market is doing a bang up job without them having to lift a finger. The sad truth is corporate regulation is like kids potty training a dog. It would be easier to let them do it themselves, but eventually the mess they create will compel you to take over.
Mark Zuckerberg seems to have genuine remorse although he still needs to face tough questions. If he answers well and includes well-thought solutions to prevent this from happening again, I would forgive him. Mike Pompeo for Secretary of State and Gina Haspel of the CIA I don’t want because of their Islamophobic tendencies and advocacy of torture. That’s much worse.
Send the SOB to jail.
My guess is one of the next acts of major attack of domestic terrorism will occur sometime near the end of June to the mid of July. All depends on how the special election campaign in Ohio is going.
I want my privacy. I demand to opt in on EVERY data request. No more just giving my data to anyone. Congress needs to act and support us and our privacy.
he should have been under oath. If he wasn’t that question of how long does the data stay and others he could have lied without being in trouble. I am very upset!
You people are morons! Especially you, Linda! How about you go talk to the Chinese and the terrorists yourself with the line “Can’t we all just get along?” These people want us DEAD! What part of that don’t you understand. When a bunch of criminals kick in your front door, try diplomacy...and let me know how that works for you...
It was all okay when Suckberg helped Obama... But it's a Bad Thing now? LOL
Zuckerburg testifying is a good thing. We need to get information about personal information sharing, investigate, and make policy to protect internet users. Pompeo is qualified for this position but he scares me with his positions. That said, he meets the qualifications for CIA Director.
I can't help but liken one Pompey Magnus to the current Pompeo. I wonder will the same fate befall both men? O you hard hearts, you cruel men of Rome, Knew you not Pompey? Many a time and oft Have you climb'd up to walls and battlements, To towers and windows, yea, to chimney-tops, Your infants in your arms, and there have sat The livelong day, with patient expectation, To see great Pompey pass the streets of Rome: And when you saw his chariot but appear, Have you not made an universal shout, That Tiber trembled underneath her banks, To hear the replication of your sounds Made in her concave shores? And do you now put on your best attire? And do you now cull out a holiday? And do you now strew flowers in his way That comes in triumph over Pompey's blood? Be gone! Run to your houses, fall upon your knees, Pray to the gods to intermit the plague That needs must light on this ingratitude.
