Ensure that all LGBTQ survivors of domestic and sexual violence have access to resources, services, and support. No survivor should ever be denied services due to an essential element of their identity.
Solutions:
– Support programs by and for LGBTQ communities that both respond to and prevent domestic and sexual violence within LGBTQ communities.
– Support programs outside of the criminal justice system that work with perpetrators of domestic and sexual violence within LGBTQ communities and incorporate LGBTQ specific models to transforming abusive behavior.
