A 2-and-half-year-old Guatemalan boy apprehended at the southern border died in El Paso after spending weeks in the hospital, The Washington Post first reported Wednesday.
Why it matters: He’s the fourth migrant child to die after being apprehended at the southern border since December, per CBS News. Guatemalan consul Tekandi Paniagua told AP the boy had been diagnosed with pneumonia. Hospital doctors treated him for a month, but he died Tuesday.
