“Get tougher on drug dealers and pushers” what a joke everybody knows cause of our opioid epidemic is big pharma! Getting Republicans AND Democrats out of bed with big drug companies ALL who love their profits more than they love people is going to take the efforts of every American who never wants to see their loved ones go down that path.

The crisis would end just as soon as you decriminalize it. Get it under control so the profit motive ends and the “product” is regulated. You’ll always have those that will test the limits but at least you’ll know what is mixed with it.

I would like to make my views known regarding any legislation regarding opioid drugs. This country has done just as it always has in a crisis- and in trying to solve a problem has over corrected and caused more problems. It is impossible to see physicians that aren't afraid to prescribe opioids even when truly needed. I couldn't get a cough syrup that contained hydrocodone from my primary care physician- after given enough for two days at the ER and was told that my physician would prescribe for me. Even with non productive cough from bronchial pneumonia- my physician would not prescribe this because it contained hydrocodone- which is the least strongest opioid in the market. Just please bear this in mind when any legislation comes before you. Kindest regards.

With the explosion of a LEGAL opioid epidemic from the Sackler family’s pharma kingdom, this “drugs from Mexico” rhetoric comes across as the simple-minded xenophobia that it is. Stephen Miller is working overtime on this one! What a shameful time in American history

All Russian sanctions need to be implemented. The White House cannot pick and choose which laws to follow. Put pressure on the White House. The Russians interfered with our election and they need to be held accountable.

Political corruption is destroying the governments of both Russia and America. Both countries are controlled by the same corporate overlords.

Getting tougher on drug dealers is a needle in a haystack in the opioid crisis. The doctors and big pharma are the initial drug dealers. These drugs are given out like candy and prescribed to recovering addicts with no boundary. Stop big pharma from causing and profiting from addiction.

Yes please for god sakes find a solution for the opioid crisis. I've had enough. One of my parents had been addicted to opioids and survived , but I can never forget that. I want you to listen to my advice. Sometimes not just drug dealers that caused this it's also the Doctors. Their medical license is to medicate and that's one of my parents had been through sometimes you need to be tough on the doctors for these issues. They're "Legal Drug Dealers". Please do something about this we want justice!

djt is constantly thumbing his nose at the rule of law. According to reports from russian media, not our government, the head of russian intelligence met here in our country with the head of our CIA Pompeo to discuss lifting sanctions. The corruption is rampant!

Trump’s idea is to imprison more people which enriches Sessions wealth. Making drug companies responsible to open and fund drug treatment centers would be far more useful.

We need action not just lip service on the opioid crisis and the drug issues across the board. Saying does not make it so.

Do the drug dealers and scourge mentioned include the drug companies that lied about these dangerous drugs to increase their profits? The FDA that believed those lies and approved the use of these drugs for just about anything? The wholesalers who deliver drugs to warehouses at an outrageous volume compared to population? The doctors that over prescribe these meds because it is easier and more profitable to treat symptoms not causes? The pharmacy that fills these prescriptions that get these people hooked in the first place? The opioid epidemic was NOT caused by anyone North, South, East or West of our borders. This is an internal issue that can only be 'blamed' by the love of profit over life. Stop spreading fear and false narratives and do something CONSTRUCTIVE to save the lives of American citizens dying at an alarming. The lives you save may be those of your own family.

I believe tougher punishment on dealers is a necessary part of a larger solution. The punishment needs to be made public to discourage others from considering this as a "career" pathway.

The GOP was once considered the party of 'law and order'. Those days are apparently gone. Allowing a corrupt, unethical Chairman of the House Intelligent Committee release an inaccurate portrayal of CLASSIFIED information to protect the criminal in chief is beyond belief. And yes, DJT IS a criminal - simply based on his total lack of regard for the sanctions law passed last summer when the GOP was mildly interested in saving the republic AND for his total disregard for upholding the Affordable Care Act which is also a LAW in this country. His ICE agents are TRACKING AMERICAN CITIZENS and arresting them for leaving water in the desert. They are, according to the Department of Homeland Security, merely enforcing our current laws. If that is true, why is DJT still in office? He has broken the law and needs to be treated like any other criminal, because when it comes down to it, that is ALL he is.
