by Countable | 1.3.18

Greetings, Folks. We're right back at it, aren't we? Luckily we're here to help you sift through the dross to get to the news gold. Let's go!

One Big Thing

President Trump insists the big thing everyone needs to remember is his "nuclear button", as opposed to the size of North Korean Leader Kim Jong-Un's, of course. Problem is, there is no nuclear button. We'll leave debates about size issues to other outlets.

What's that you say? Want to know how Trump might actually accomplish a nuclear strike? Read our explanation of the "nuclear button" right here, then jump over and weigh in about legislation in the House that would prevent the president from launching nuclear strikes unless or until Congress declares war.

Under the Radar

The administration is expected to unveil a massive infrastructure plan in the coming months. Why does it matter? Because how we move about, and how easy or hard it is, affects the economy. Major infrastructure projects also affect jobs during the construction phase.

On Friday, when most folks weren't paying attention, the administration announced they wouldn't be following through on a 2015 plan to repair and upgrade the mass transit routes between New York and New Jersey. Will the project still happen? Will it get rolled into the administration's infrastructure plan to garner Democratic support? Find out about the issue in today's article.

And while we're on transit, changes are coming for airline travelers this year. Check out our rundown here!
