We hope you are in the midst of your holiday celebrations. We are waiting with bated breath to see if Congress will fund the government by tomorrow so they (and we) can all get on with our holiday revelry. Cross your fingers for us?
The House has rolled short term funding for the government and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) with an extension of intelligence surveillance (Section 702 for us policy nerds) into one big package, with an $81 billion disaster relief package separately.
Is that the right way to go about it? Make sure and tell your Members of Congress! It's crunch time, friends!
The Justice Department says the military isn't ready to meet a January 1 deadline to start admitting transgender recruits, but advocates for the change say a detailed memo released this week shows they are. What do you think? Want to know more? Check out our article and then make your voice heard!
House Democrats want a SHUTDOWN for the holidays in order to distract from the very popular, just passed, Tax Cuts. House Republicans, don’t let this happen. Pass the C.R. TODAY and keep our Government OPEN!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 21, 2017
Wherever you are, we hope you're happy, safe and warm. Pour me an egg nog, will ya? I'll be right over.

I am ok with a government shutdown. Especially, is it hampers the passage of anymore of 45s dictatorship policies IN ANYWAY. Hard to carry out orders when they have all be sent home. Besides this government is holding children's healthcare hostage to pass other corrupt legislation. I thought America didn't negotiate with Domestic terrorists.
